Erin O’Hearn is a mom to three children, 16, 14 and 12. After graduating from Cornell University, she moved to New York City to work in MTV’s documentary department as a producer. Her experience behind the scenes helped her transition to hard news in front of the camera, cutting her teeth on everything from potholes to hurricanes to politics (and political hurricanes). Erin worked at 6ABC, MSNBC and had lifestyle features on NBC’s Weekend Today. It sounds cliché, but her favorite job has always been being a mother even during the tumultuous teenage years which have proven more challenging than delivering breaking news live to hundreds of thousands of viewers. Erin lives with her husband and kids outside of Philadelphia. During her free time, which feels as though it occurs every 5th Thursday, she enjoys running, tennis, reading and mindless celebrity gossip.
