Every time an award show rolls around we’re glued to our TV to catch emotional speeches, celebrity couple PDA moments and historic wins but some of the most heart-warming moments in award season is when stars celebrate with the person who started it all — their moms.
The bustling, flashing red carpets of years past have seen many Hollywood studs decide to bring their mom as their awards show date. A-list hunks, from Leonardo DiCaprio to Javier Bardem, and more have at one point brought their mother down the red carpet, whether they’re tired of battling dating rumors or just wanting their mom to experience a special night. And it truly never ceases to be adorable.
The second we see one of our favorite stars make their way down the carpet with their mom on their arm, we can’t help it — our hearts melt. No one knows these celebs’ journeys from day one as their moms do, and when stars like Timothée Chalamet or Michael B. Jordan bring their moms as dates they’re acknowledging all the support they’ve given over the years. It’s a moment both of them likely secretly dreamed of for years, and we get to see it come true.
The only thing cuter than how excited these celebs’ moms get? How excited their celeb kids are to show off their glamorous Hollywood worlds and impress their parents with their success. At the end of the day, no matter how many Emmys you have, you just want your mom to be proud of you, right?
