At just 9 months old, Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt’s son Ford is already a horse lover! The little boy is following in the footsteps of his older sisters and mom as he admires one of the family’s horses for the first time.
“Cinco meets Ford and it was pure magic 🐴💛,” the mom of three wrote on Instagram recently. In the snap, Schwarzenegger is dressed in a black t-shirt and leggings, with her hair in a long braid, as she stands at a stable with Ford on her hip. The baby looks snuggly in one-piece pajamas with socks, simply gazing up at the black horse named Cinco. His face is turned toward the horse, but his hands are raised in excitement, and his dark brown hair is on display.

Ford is meeting an iconic milestone — and he won’t even remember it! He will remember the joy of horses, though.
In her caption, Schwarzenegger continued, “Moments like this remind me why I wrote Kat and Brandy- to celebrate the beauty of animals of all sizes, the healing power they bring and how special it is to share those experiences with kids from an early age.”
Kat and Brandy is a new children’s book inspired by Schwarzenegger’s own childhood memories with a pony named Brandy. The book, which you can pre-order now and will be released Nov. 4, tells the story of a rescue horse and a girl, who are both learning to trust again after difficult experiences in the past. The sweet, brave story is perfect for any horse lovers and kids anxious to keep getting back on the horse, both literally and figuratively.
Schwarzenegger and Pratt are also parents to daughters Lyla, 4, and Eloise, 3 (plus Pratt shares 12-year-old son Jack with ex Anna Faris). These girls love riding horses, and it’s clear that Ford will do so one day too.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, the BDA Baby podcast host shared, “I’ve had [my horse] Cinco in my life since I was in middle school, so to be around him now with my daughter [Lyla] made me so happy. Then to be able to have her pet Cinco’s nose and get so excited about it made my heart swell!”
“It’s really important to me to have the barn be a part of her life as it was such a big and important part of my life,” she added. “Growing up in Los Angeles, I think it’s important for people, especially kids, to have a place to get dirty, be free, and be around animals in open spaces. It was a huge help for me growing up, and I know it will be for her too.”
From casual riders to professional equestrians, these celebrity kids are obsessed with horses.
