The SheKnows Teen Council is a selective group of more than 100 engaged Gen Z members, ages 14-20, who partner with SheKnows and other SHE Media and affiliated Penske Media brands (like Billboard and Beauty Inc) to create impactful content across digital and live platforms.
By sharing personal stories, participating in surveys, focus groups, and unique media opportunities — including article contributions, video shoots, and career mentorship — the Council provides an authentic look into the lives of today’s teens and young adults.
SheKnows’s Teen Council gives Gen Z a chance to make their voices heard — and gives parents a candid perspective on this generation, helping them better understand and connect with their emerging adults in an authentic way.

Join the Teen Council
Be part of a group that shares opinions and insights on the issues that matter to teens today and shape life as a member of Gen Z. These unique insights and key trends will be showcased on Gen Z Voices, our teen- and expert-driven platform that helps parents understand and engage with this generation.
Participation in the Council is flexible — we know teens are busy! — and can include:
- joining focus groups
- participating in surveys
- writing articles and/or be interviewed for articles by our editors
- joining video and photo shoots in our New York City studio
