Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift‘s friendship just got a new update after months of silence.
The two stars, who notably have not been seen together since before the Super Bowl, haven’t given fans a glimpse of their friendship in quite some time but, based on Brittany’s reaction to her pal’s engagement news, we’re guessing their bond is as strong as ever.
“Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two,” 29-year-old Brittany wrote on her Instagram Story, reposting Travis and Taylor’s announcement post.
Brittany’s husband, Patrick Mahomes, also shared the post to his Instagram Story alongside three red hearts to show love to the pop singer and his Kansas City Chiefs teammate.
Taylor and Brittany notably did not sit together at the 2025 Super Bowl, a move that came after the singer faced backlash over her friendship with Brittany.
In August 2024, screenshots surfaced that showed Brittany “liking” a post from Trump about his plans for his second administration, including federal funding cuts in schools and sealing the border.
In response to the backlash, Brittany wrote on Instagram, “I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood.”
“There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,” she continued. Trump later thanked Brittany for her support.
Despite Taylor publicly endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, her friendship with Brittany raged on throughout the football season and, clearly, the two are still friends today.
Taylor and Travis announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post captioned: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Taylor’s custom ring is estimated to cost upwards of $1 million. They have been together since July 2023.
