It seems one A-lister’s kiddo is about to be in control of Vogue, and Anna Wintour is reportedly excited about the change. As many know, earlier this year, Wintour revealed she was stepping down as the Editor in Chief of Vogue, and since then, everyone has been wondering who would take the coveted role. While there were rumors that Jeff Bezos was thinking of buying Vogue for Lauren Sanchez, it seems that actress Candice Bergen and French film director Louis Malle’s daughter, Chloe Malle, may be the new face.
Sources told Page Six that Vogue is in the “final rounds” of interviews for finding the person to be the head of editorial content for US Vogue.
The Brown University graduate has been with Vogue since 2011, and has been an Editor for Vogue since 2023, plus is the co-host of The Run-Through with Vogue podcast. The insiders told the outlet that she’s a “favorite” among the staff at Vogue and even interviewed Sanchez for the Vogue cover from earlier this year. (In fact, she actually interviewed her previously in 2023 as well!) She’s also interviewed Fran Lebowitz, Jenna Lyons, Fran Drescher, Margot Robbie, and more, per her company page.

Now, you may be wondering: Are Chloe’s mom, Candice Bergen, and Wintour pals? Well, we know they run in similar circles, and Bergen even played Enid Frick on Sex and the City, an editor at Vogue clearly inspired by Wintour; but no friendship we know of.
Along with Chloe, it’s reported that Nicole Phelps, global director of Vogue Runway, is also in the running, but we won’t know until the beginning of New York Fashion Week next month.
